Sir,
With reference to your letter of the 21st. instant, I am directed to inform you that the Government is un-
able to state definitely the date upon which the Report of the Registry Commission will reach you, but that it may be expected
not later than the end of the current week.

With regard to your letter of the 28th.
ultimo and Brd. instant on the subject of Mr. Sharp's alleged
interference with your Department, 1 am to inform you that both
jetters were considered by His Excellency the Governor who has
issued no instructions in the ratter beyond what were embodied
in my letter of the 1st. instant.

His Excellency has also read your letter
of the 3rd. instant in which you refer to the increase in re-
ceipts from Probate Duty &c., and the extent to which you have
been instrumental in increasing the revenue.
4.
Your letter of the 16th. instant, in
which you complained of certain action on the part of the Chief
Justice, has already been answered.
5.
I am to inform you that His Excellency the
Governor is at a loss to understand your staterent that a com-
bined effort has been mide" to damage your reputation, and
regrets that you should have made a statement of so unusual a
nature and one which appears to his Excellency to be totally
devoid of foundation.
